Northern inspiration!

While the school hols started and the weather looked "canny" (good, my new geordie language), me and BFF took a trip up to the bright lights of Newcastle and to see her fab parents and grand parents! It's been of inspiration which I didn't expect! In 3 days do far I have melted, frozen and shivered with blazin sun, rain, sleet and snow and then a bitter wind, which have all inspired me to make some "extreme" pieces for my Jewellery party next week! I'm gonna be creating some "very me" pieces in order to convey the idea of this extreme weather and how individual and funky the northern people are!
We are up here for girlie retail therapy and we r all shopped out a day early and I am full of ideas and energy to get crafting on my return. Decoden has been a main focus whirring around in my mind and button Jewellery for a quirky vintage feel, yet very individual and unique.
It will all start on Friday in my recently tidied and spring cleaned craft room aka the conservatory! Watch this space!

Pixel Jewellery another new thing

So busy at work but managing to find some time to play with new things i have got. Love old school video games (big as ever even today!) and wanting to combine that with craft, saw some of these here and there online and fell in love!! Just playing around with Hama beads for creative strawberry to make and sell! Brooch size at the moment but will make coasters, pendants etc any requests or ideas for characters?

Back to it!

Well a lot has happened in the last 6 months, I started a new full time job and got engaged. I have never been so busy in my life but things have to change as I miss my craft so so much as I need to create! I have also missed sharing my thoughts with other crafters and just generally being out there in blog land among so many other like minded people.
Recent wedding organisation has inspired me and I have been to bead and craft shows and it is back, the burning desire to make things!
I discovered friendly plastic last weekend at a fair in Malvern and I love and it and have played with it as much as I could (in between marking and teaching!), tonight has been very creative and I have built my confidence with friendly plastic so I am going to share my first creations with this very cool stuff!
I would love to hear comments good or bad about this stuff so please comment, I really value others opinions.
